Our client, a leading financial organization, is seeking a VP - FinOps (Infrastructure Operations & Services) to play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and optimizing infrastructure services.
Job Description:
- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments, including development, testing, and production.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize application deployment and performance on Kubernetes.
- Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of Kubernetes environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, and container orchestration.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and features to enhance the efficiency and reliability of Kubernetes clusters.
- Document processes, procedures, and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance to team members on Kubernetes best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
Required Skills
- Master/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Extensive experience working with Kubernetes in production environments.
- Working knowledge of Rancher/RKE2 and AWS EKS Kubernetes environments.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker/Podman.
- Experience in Gitlab, Helm, Flux/Argo CD, Container Image Repository etc.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems administration and networking concepts.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Experience with monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Kubernetes certification (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer)
- Experience with micro services architecture and related technologies (e.g., Istio, Consul).
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud strategies and implementations.
