Job Title: Technical Business Analyst (Salesforce, APIs, Data Integration)

Role Summary
We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst (Tech BA) with a strong foundation in Salesforce, API integration, and data engineering concepts. The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with developers, architects, and business teams to drive technical requirements, define robust data flows, and enable seamless system integration. This is a hands-on BA role that sits at the intersection of product, development, and data.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for Salesforce-based and API-integrated systems.
Document detailed functional and technical specifications, interface definitions, and data mappings.
Work closely with integration teams to define and validate API workflows, error/exception handling, and authentication mechanisms.
Support creation and refinement of data models, object schemas, and entity relationships across platforms.
Work with ETL and data engineering teams to understand and document data flow logic, transformations, and lineage.
Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with QA/test teams to validate end-to-end integration and ensure quality delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in technical BA roles.
Proven experience with Salesforce (Classic and/or Lightning) – objects, flows, data relationships.
Solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, request/response structures, and hands-on experience writing or validating API integration specs.
Experience in defining API exception handling flows and error responses.
Strong understanding of data modelling, including conceptual/logical/physical design, normalization, and object relationships.
Exposure to ETL processes, data migration, and data pipelines (e.g., ADF, Informatica, Talend, or custom scripts).
Familiar with tools like Postman, Swagger, JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and SQL for data validation.
Ability to work independently with technical teams and translate complex technical detail into clear business language.
Nice to Have
Experience in Financial Services, FinTech, or Insurance domains.
Familiarity with Salesforce development lifecycle, including sandbox management and change sets.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and test automation practices.
Certification(s) in Salesforce or Agile methodologies.
