Job Description
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow SAM / SAM Pro Developer to design, configure, and enhance Software Asset Management solutions on the ServiceNow platform for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ServiceNow SAM Pro implementations, software licensing concepts, CMDB, integrations, and automation.
The candidate will collaborate with architects, process consultants, CMDB teams, ITOM teams, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable and optimized SAM solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and customize ServiceNow SAM / SAM Pro modules using OOTB-first best practices
Implement software normalization, entitlement models, compliance calculations, and license metrics
Configure reclamation workflows, optimization rules, and compliance dashboards
Develop integrations with SCCM, Tanium, Discovery tools, MID Server, REST APIs, and import sets
Collaborate with CMDB and ITOM teams to ensure accurate asset and configuration data
Support publisher-specific licensing solutions for Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, Adobe, etc.
Perform defect resolution, UAT support, and hypercare activities
Create technical documentation and follow quality/security standards
Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow SAM / SAM Pro implementation
Experience in ServiceNow scripting:
Business Rules
Script Includes
Client Scripts
Good understanding of:
CMDB
ITOM Discovery
Software Asset Management lifecycle
Software licensing and compliance models
Experience with integrations using:
REST APIs
MID Server
Import Sets
Knowledge of SCCM, Tanium, Flexera, or other discovery/data source tools
Experience with ServiceNow platform customization and workflows
Preferred Skills
ServiceNow certifications in SAM Pro or CIS
Experience in global enterprise implementations
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
