Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Payments) with strong domain expertise to join a dynamic team supporting critical banking payment systems. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to define and deliver backend solutions, particularly APIs, within a highly regulated financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for payments-related systems
- Define requirements for backend products and APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and ISO standards
- Support integration with interbank payment systems, including Elixir
- Create process flows and documentation using BPMN/Visio or similar tools
- Perform data analysis and validation using basic SQL
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the payments domain
- Strong knowledge of payment systems and processes
- Experience working with backend systems and API requirements
- Understanding of ACH and SWIFT
- Knowledge of regulatory and ISO standards in payments
- Hands-on experience with SQL (basic level)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Visio / BPMN tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Polish banking ecosystem
- Polish language skills (preferred, not mandatory but advantageous)
- Experience working with large financial institutions
