Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (BA) with deep expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter and strong knowledge of the European insurance market, particularly the Belgian insurance sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in large-scale Guidewire ClaimCenter implementations and exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. The BA will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure successful implementation and optimization of the Guidewire ClaimCenter platform.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze, define, and document business requirements for Guidewire ClaimCenter implementations.
- Conduct gap analysis between the current state and future state of ClaimCenter implementations.
- Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements for development teams.
- Work closely with underwriters, claims handlers, and insurance operations teams to gather detailed process requirements.
Guidewire ClaimCenter Expertise:
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Guidewire ClaimCenter and provide insights into best practices and industry trends.
- Support configuration, customization, and enhancement of the ClaimCenter platform to meet business needs.
- Assist in claims process optimization and automation using Guidewire capabilities.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth communication and alignment on project objectives.
- Conduct workshops, presentations, and training sessions for business users and stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates and ensure clear documentation of business requirements and process flows.
Implementation & Testing Support:
- Work closely with the development, QA, and UAT teams to ensure the solution meets business expectations.
- Support functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution related to Guidewire ClaimCenter.
- Assist in designing test cases and validating system behavior against requirements.
European & Belgian Insurance Market Expertise:
- Ensure Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions comply with Belgian and European insurance regulations.
- Provide guidance on insurance policy structures, claims handling regulations, and compliance requirementsfor the Belgian market.
- Support localization of Guidewire ClaimCenter to align with Belgian insurance practices and terminology.
Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Agile Facilitation:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Foster a collaborative environment to help teams achieve high performance.
- Team Support:
- Coach the team in Agile principles, helping them mature and improve their processes.
- Identify and remove impediments to the team's progress.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a point of contact between the team and external stakeholders.
- Protect the team from scope creep and ensure adherence to sprint goals.
- Metrics and Reporting:
- Track and communicate team performance metrics such as velocity, burn-down, and progress toward sprint goals.
- Use data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 7–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance domain, with a strong focus on Guidewire ClaimCenter.
- Proven experience in large-scale Guidewire ClaimCenter implementations across multiple phases (requirement gathering, configuration, testing, deployment).
- In-depth knowledge of claims processes, claims lifecycle, and insurance operations in Belgium and broader European markets.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience in process modeling, gap analysis, and workflow documentation.
- Ability to work in a hybrid or remote setup with periodic travel to Belgium as required.
