Job Description:

 

We are looking for someone along three dimensions

  • We are currently seeking a PM who is experienced in implementing Loan IQ packages with strong business knowledge.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and meaningful experience of Loan IQ implementations – as a PM, Delivery Lead or Product Owner
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a large, complex programmes if work, ideally in a CIB
  • Demonstrable experience of a large project through the full software development lifecycle

Objective

This role is central to driving the Loan IQ implementation for EMEA, consolidating efforts

across the US IT and EMEA regions to ensure a streamlined and effective delivery.



 

Profile Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the pre-study phase of the replacement of our Loan Product Management System as part of a broader EMEA transformation programme, MIT BIT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Commercial Banking operations, particularly with regards to Loans as a product, and extensive experience in project management within complex, global environments.

The role requires effective stakeholder management across Europe and the US, and a deep understanding of software development lifecycles, and strong vendor management skills. The successful candidate will be a responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the IT component of pre-study phase of this critical project, working with the overall PM, ensuring EMEA’s requirements are fed into the US Loan re-platforming project and aligning with our overarching goal of cost-efficient and sustainable IT architecture.

Beyond this initial focus,there is an expectation that this role will be expected to contribute to the successful delivery of various other projects within the MIT BIT program, covering a wide range of initiatives across the EMEA banking and securities domains.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership : Lead the Loan Product Management System Replacement pre-study, ensuring alignment with the overallMIT BIT program’s goals and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Management : Engage with senior stakeholders across headquarters, US, and within the European context to ensure clear communication, alignment and support for the project.
  • Planning & Coordination : Develop detail project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies, ensuring all deliverables are met within budget and scope.
  • Software Development Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the software development lifecycle(SDLC) for the replacement system, ensuring best practices are followed and quality standards are met.
  • Vendor management: Manage and controlthe package vendor,ensuring their progress aligns with project timelines and quality standards. Negotiate with the vendor when necessary to address any issues, delays, or changes in scope.
  • Risk Management & Escalation : Identify potential risks and issuesproactively across all delivery activities, and manage them through appropriate mitigation strategies, escalating when necessary to ensure the overall program remains on track.
  • Reporting : Provide regularproject status updatesto stakeholders and senior management.
  • Budget Management : Monitor projectbudgets, ensuring efficientallocation of resources and cost-effective delivery of project outcomes.
  • Team collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Business units, to ensure the successful integration and implementation of the new system and future projects.

 

 

Qualifications, Skillsand Experience

  • PMP, PRINCE2 or similarproject management certification (Desirable)
  • In-depth understanding of the software development process and overallproject life cycle (Essential)
  • In-depth knowledge and work experience of banking productand finance, and a strong understanding of the regulatory environment in the banking sector. (Essential)
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT Project management, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects within complex, multinational organizations, Experience in managing long-term assignments and contributing to multiple projects within a broader program is highly valued. (Essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and control external application vendors, ensuringthey meet projectrequirements and timelines. (Essential)
  • Strong negotiation skills to handle any challenges that arise with the vendor (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated abilityto manage relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple regions, including Europe, with a clear understanding of reginal and global impact. (Essential)
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience overseeing all stages from requirements gathering to development and post- implementation support. (Essential)
  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills, with the abilityto present complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.(Essential)
