We are seeking a Power BI Developer with manufacturing or MES experience to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Power BI, data modeling, DAX, SQL, and integrating MES/ERP systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop real-time reporting solutions that enhance operational efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored for manufacturing KPIs, production efficiency, and quality control.
- Connect and integrate MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.), SCADA, and other manufacturing data sources into Power BI.
- Develop ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various databases and real-time sources.
- Optimize DAX calculations and Power Query (M Language) for performance improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from manufacturing, production, and IT teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and governance while handling large datasets.
- Automate and schedule Power BI reports for real-time monitoring of shop floor operations.
- Identify and troubleshoot data issues related to manufacturing systems and processes.
- Implement best practices in data visualization and UI/UX for effective storytelling in reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query, and Data Modeling.
- Experience in manufacturing, MES, or shop floor analytics is required.
- Proficiency in SQL, SSIS, or other ETL tools for data extraction and transformation.
- Familiarity with ERP (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics), MES (AVEVA, Ignition, Siemens, Rockwell), SCADA, and IoT data integration.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime tracking, and production planning reports.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or other cloud data platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages for data manipulation.
- Familiarity with AI/ML for predictive analytics in manufacturing.
- Understanding of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and real-time data processing.
