Role: Lead Business Architect

Responsibilities
- Lead the target operating model design and development for a discreet operating division of the Bank
- Develop the business architecture required to deliver the agreed target operating model, for the assigned business area, based on a situational awareness of business motivations.
- Contribute to senior level discussions advising on all aspects of the operating model
- Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the business unit
- Define the business outcomes, targets and measures used to define the successful implementation of the target operating model, including traceability through the organisation, to provide effective governance
- Maintain the target operating model, describing the primary business functions of the assigned business unit, and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions
- Complete analysis of the current and target state to support the definition of the business model, capability model and transition states
- Define the strategic, core and support processes across the organisation
- Identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers and external systems that interact with the business
- Define the data elements shared between this business unit and other units in the enterprise, and the relationships between those data elements and processes, people, systems, and other data elements

- A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
- Strong understanding of finance
- The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies.
- The ability to apply architectural principles, methods, and tools to business challenges
- The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues
- The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
- Extensive experience planning and deploying either business or IT initiatives
