Job Title: IT Architect – Authentication & Security
Location: Stuttgart
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Architect with a strong focus on Authentication, Security, and Identity and Access Management (IAM). The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with identity providers, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and a solid background in cybersecurity. The role requires designing and implementing secure authentication and authorization systems, ensuring compliance with security standards, and driving innovation in security and identity management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Implementation: Architect and implement secure authentication and authorization systems using Customer Data Cloud.
- Identity Management Strategy: Develop and maintain identity management strategies across the IT landscape, ensuring seamless integration with existing and new applications.
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Implement MFA and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, ensuring a balance between user convenience and robust security.
- API Security: Architect secure API gateways and implement strict access control systems to protect sensitive data.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all authentication systems comply with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and adhere to security best practices.
- Token-Based Authentication: Design and implement secure token-based authentication systems, ensuring proper handling of tokens.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including development, security, and infrastructure) to integrate authentication solutions across platforms.
- Security Audits & Mitigation: Conduct regular security audits, identify vulnerabilities, and implement mitigation strategies to strengthen overall system security.
- Observability & Monitoring: Implement Datadog-based observability for authentication systems, focusing on security-related metrics, logs, and anomaly detection to ensure system integrity.
- Stay Updated: Continuously monitor the latest security threats and trends, proactively adapting authentication systems to mitigate emerging risks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Cybersecurity Expertise: Strong background in cybersecurity, including knowledge of encryption, data protection, and threat mitigation strategies.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): In-depth experience with IAM frameworks, including design and implementation of scalable IAM solutions.
- OAuth 2.0 & OpenID Connect: Proven experience working with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect protocols for secure authentication and authorization.
- Experience with Identity Providers: Hands-on experience with identity providers like Okta, Auth0, Microsoft Azure AD, or similar.
- MFA & SSO: Expertise in implementing multi-factor authentication and single sign-on solutions to improve security without compromising user experience.
- API Security: Experience architecting and securing API gateways, ensuring robust access control policies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and industry best practices.
- Problem Solving & Communication: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Monitoring & Observability: Experience implementing monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog) with a focus on security metrics and anomaly detection.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Certifications: Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or similar) or IAM (e.g., Certified Identity and Access Manager - CIAM).
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and implementing secure authentication mechanisms for cloud-based systems.
