Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced FIX Protocol Developer to join our Banking Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Electronic Trading systems, hands-on experience with FIX Protocol, and a solid understanding of Linux/UNIX environments and networking concepts. This role involves working on mission-critical trading platforms and ensuring reliable, high-performance connectivity in financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, support, and maintain FIX Protocol (v4.1 / v4.2)–based trading applications
Work closely with trading, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure seamless electronic trading connectivity
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve FIX session and connectivity issues
Perform analysis and support for production and UAT environments
Ensure system stability, performance, and compliance with banking standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Electronic Trading systems and FIX Protocol (4.1, 4.2)
Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments
Good understanding of SQL and relational databases
Basic programming and scripting skills
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including:
TCP/IP
Firewalls
VPNs
Experience working in the Banking or Financial Services domain
Preferred Attributes
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
