KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Financial Reporting & Control
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for each active entity
- Consolidate group financials across all nine jurisdictions; produce board-level packs for the MD
- Maintain accurate books of account in compliance with local GAAP / IFRS as applicable
- Manage intercompany reconciliation and elimination entries
- Own the group compliance tracker and month-end close calendar
2. Statutory Compliance & Tax
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns — VAT/GST, corporate tax, payroll taxes — across active jurisdictions (UK, Germany, Singapore, UAE)
- Liaise with local accountants, auditors, and tax advisors in each country
- Manage UK VAT returns (MTD-compliant) and HMRC correspondence
- Maintain German UStG and HGB compliance in coordination with the local Steuerberater
- Support all statutory audits and annual accounts preparation
- Develop and maintain transfer pricing documentation across the group
3. Treasury & Cash Management
- Monitor multi-currency cash positions and intercompany funding flows
- Manage FX exposure and optimise cross-border transfers
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the full invoice lifecycle
- Track GRN / PO matching and supplier payment cycles, including SAP Ariba workflows with key clients
4. Commercial & Business Partnering
- Act as Finance lead for major client contracts (Infosys, Wipro, and others) — billing, milestone tracking, PO utilisation
- Produce rate card costings and pricing models for new business proposals
- Build and enforce internal financial controls and written SOPs
- Coordinate payroll across active jurisdictions with local payroll providers
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (ICAI) or equivalent (ACCA / CPA) — CA strongly preferred
- 6–10 years of post-qualification experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a multi-entity or international finance role
- Prior exposure to UK and/or EU entities (VAT, payroll, statutory accounts) is a significant advantage
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in at least one accounting platform — Xero, QuickBooks, Tally, or SAP
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets for reporting and reconciliation
- Familiarity with procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba is a plus
- Working knowledge of UK Companies House filings, HMRC MTD, and PAYE
Jurisdictional Knowledge (Desirable)
- UK: VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, Companies House
- Germany: UStG (VAT), Handelsgesetzbuch (HGB), Körperschaftsteuer
- Singapore: GST, ACRA filings, IRAS corporate tax
- UAE: Corporate Tax (effective June 2023), VAT, FTA compliance
Soft Skills
- Strong written and spoken English — able to produce crisp, senior-level financial summaries
- Self-starter; comfortable operating independently across time zones in a lean team
- Detail-oriented with a strong controls mindset, and able to communicate findings clearly to non-finance stakeholders
