Key Responsibilities:
Windows Server Administration: Install, configure, and manage Windows Server platforms (2019 and beyond), ensuring reliability and security for customer environments.
Networking Support: Provide advanced support for DNS and DHCP services, troubleshoot network issues, and optimize network performance.
Performance Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks in server, storage, and network environments.
Hyper-V & SCVMM: Manage virtualized environments using Hyper-V and System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM).
Active Directory Management: Administer Active Directory services, including group management, policy enforcement, and troubleshooting.
PowerShell Automation: Automate tasks and configurations using PowerShell scripting to increase efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
Customer Support: Collaborate with clients to deliver exceptional service and technical solutions. Assist in identifying improvements and streamlining their IT operations.
Required Core Skills:
Extensive experience with Windows Server Platform 2019+ (300+ hours).
Advanced understanding of Networking (DNS/DHCP) and troubleshooting (300+ hours).
Proven expertise in Performance Troubleshooting across systems and networks (300+ hours).
Experience with Hyper-V / SCVMM for managing virtual machines and clusters (300+ hours).
Solid background in Active Directory (AD) administration (200+ hours).
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Active Directory Security and securing enterprise environments (200+ hours).
Knowledge of Failover Clustering for high-availability solutions (200+ hours).
Hands-on experience with Azure / Azure Arc for managing hybrid cloud environments (200+ hours).
Familiarity with WSUS / Azure Update Management for patch management and updates (200+ hours).
Experience with File Services / Azure Files for managing file systems on-premises and in the cloud.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Exposure to Azure IoT solutions.
Experience with Storage Hardware (EMC, NetApp, etc.) for enterprise storage environments.
Familiarity with Networking Hardware (Cisco, etc.) for enterprise network management.
Knowledge of Deployment Technologies such as MDT for OS deployment and imaging.
Experience with Data Protection Manager (DPM) or Azure Backup for disaster recovery.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, and customer support.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing technologies.
Relevant certifications in Microsoft technologies, Azure, or networking (e.g., MCSE, Azure Fundamentals, etc.) are a plus.
