Role Description:
Senior Cloud Security Architect / Cyber Expert with strong experience in Vulnerability Management, Security Logging, Monitoring and Threat Detection, Secrets Management as well as overall Cloud Security. The person will be engaged on a Time and Material basis and will work on the following:
Proficiency in Security for Cloud
Proficiency in Vulnerability Management
Excellent command of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies
Understanding of Secrets Management, Privileged Access Management, Identity Management on Cloud.
Experience and indepth knowledge of AWS is required. Experience with any other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure and Ali Cloud) is a plus.
Experience and knowledge of securing Kubernetes, container and serverless technologies on AWS
Ability to produce hardened configuration standards for cloud services
Threat modelling experience
Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript and understanding of software vulnerabilities and vulnerability remediation
Experience with IaC scripting languages is required – Terraform, Cloud formation etc.
A proven track record working within an enterprise scale organisation
Keen understanding of national and international laws, regulations, policies and ethics related to financial industry cybersecurity
Ability to identify network attacks and systemic security issues as they relate to threats and vulnerabilities, with focus on recommendations for enhancements or remediation
Dev-ops and application security & data security experience
· Experience in a relevant technology field, such as software engineering, with current experience being in a technical security role.
· Experience designing, developing, administering, and/or maintaining the security of cloud environments such as AWS, MS Azure or GCP, with a clear passion for cloud security and cloud technologies.
· Extensive knowledge of cloud networking architecture, cloud operations, security, automation and orchestration.
· Experience in building and deploying applications on the Cloud, using CI/CD frameworks and Infrastructure automation, such as: Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins.
· Experience with scripting languages such as: JavaScript, Python, Go, Bash, Perl, PowerShell.
· Experience in version control systems such as: Git, GitLab, etc.
· Knowledge of data security requirements in the cloud aligned with FISMA, CJIS, PCI, HIPAA, NIST, FedRAMP, GDPR or other rigorous security compliance standards.
· Knowledge of Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Cloud Controls Matrix.
· Familiarity with security issues associated with containers, distributed systems, and large-scale web applications.
· Extensive knowledge of several key security practices in access control, application security, network security, security architecture, and security strategy.
