1.The CDM is the engagement manager and ultimately responsible for engagement success, renewals, and customer satisfaction. In this role (which is like a Project Manager Role), 2.the CDM is defines the engagement model, matching the various roles and teams on SAP side with the counterparts on the customer side, so that responsibilities are clear, and expectations are met.
3. CDM defines regular operational and service review meetings to make sure contractual deliverables are provided in time and in quality and any issues, miss-outs etc. are addressed and corrected. To be successful,
4.CDM must possess a high level of self-organization and diligence to make sure nothing “slips through the cracks” and everyone is aware of current topics as well as upcoming tasks. 5.In incident or crisis situations the CDM plays a vital role: He/She/It knows the customer counterparts and the customer landscape best and therefore the CDM is essential to communicate status, progress, and next steps to the customers
Mandatory Skills the CDM must be familiar with:
- SAP Solutions: ABAP & JAVA based Netweaver systems (e.g., ERP & S4/HANA, PO, SCM etc.) on technical and application level
- Experience with hyperscaler-based SAP Landscape Operations processes and tools: Upgrades, High-availability, disaster recovery, patching etc.
- Networking standards: DNS configuration, MPLS / Express Routes, VPN
- Hyperscaler technologies: Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS and Google Cloud Platform: Allocating and managing compute and storage resources,
