Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst with a strong understanding of Internal Ratings-Based (IRB) regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting IRB-related projects, ensuring compliance with Basel III/IV standards, and delivering strategic insights for regulatory risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
- Work with stakeholders across risk, compliance, and IT teams to gather and document business requirements related to IRB regulations.
- Translate regulatory standards into actionable deliverables for technical and business teams.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure alignment with Basel III/IV IRB requirements for credit risk modeling, data governance, and reporting.
- Provide expertise on Pillar 1 (Capital Requirements) and Pillar 3 (Market Discipline) regulations.
Data Analysis
- Analyze large datasets related to credit portfolios and risk weightings.
- Collaborate with data teams to validate data integrity and model inputs.
Project Support
- Support end-to-end project lifecycles, including planning, execution, and implementation of IRB frameworks.
- Liaise with external regulators and auditors during reviews and inspections.
Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes around IRB model implementation and reporting.
- Recommend system enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Technology.
- Act as a trusted advisor for internal stakeholders on IRB-related matters.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of IRB regulations, Basel III/IV standards, and credit risk management.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with risk management systems (e.g., SAS, Moody’s RiskAuthority, RiskCalc) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Business Analysis Skills: Strong experience in documenting functional/non-functional requirements, gap analysis, and stakeholder communication.
- Data Proficiency: Experience with SQL, Python, or R for risk data analysis is a plus.
- Project Management: Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to manage timelines and deliverables effectively.
