We are seeking an experienced and delivery-focused Business Analyst to join our team, specializing in the London Insurance Market and Verisk (Sequel) Eclipse and Claims systems. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business and IT teams, ensuring the effective delivery of business requirements and driving the successful implementation of system enhancements and solutions. This role requires strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement, and in-depth knowledge of the insurance domain to deliver value across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Elicitation and Documentation:
Work with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed requirements for system enhancements and process improvements related to Verisk (Sequel) Eclipse and Claims systems. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring that technical solutions align with business needs. Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and define solutions. - Process Analysis and Optimization:
Map current business processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals. - Solution Delivery Support:
Collaborate with IT teams during the development and testing phases to ensure that solutions meet business requirements. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by developing test cases and assisting with defect resolution. - Subject Matter Expertise:
Build expertise in the Verisk (Sequel) Eclipse and Claims systems and provide guidance on system functionality and best practices. Develop a deep understanding of London Insurance Market processes and workflows. - Change Management:
Support change readiness activities, including training, communications, and transition planning, to ensure successful adoption of new solutions. - Reporting and Communication:
Produce clear and concise reports, project updates, and presentations for senior stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience
- London Insurance Market Knowledge:
Extensive experience in the London Insurance Market with a focus on policy administration and claims processes. - System Expertise:
Hands-on experience working with Verisk (Sequel) Eclipse and Claims systems, with an understanding of their capabilities and configuration options. - Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Problem-Solving Ability:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into actionable solutions. - Collaborative Approach:
Experience working in cross-functional teams, fostering cooperation between business and IT functions. - Business Analysis Tools and Techniques:
Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and the use of tools such as MS Visio, JIRA, or similar.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
- Experience supporting claims or policy system implementations in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the insurance industry.
- Previous involvement in change management and user adoption activities.
