Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in Non-Life Insurance Claims to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, analyzing insurance claims processes, and supporting the design and implementation of system and process improvements. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Elicit, document, and validate business requirements for non-life insurance claims processes (e.g., Motor, Property, Liability, Health, Travel, etc.).
Analyze end-to-end claims lifecycle including FNOL (First Notice of Loss), claim assessment, validation, adjudication, fraud checks, settlement, recovery, and subrogation.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, and user stories for development teams.
Collaborate with product owners, underwriters, claims adjusters, operations, and IT teams to ensure solution alignment with business goals.
Support the evaluation, configuration, and implementation of insurance claims management systems (Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens, or equivalent).
Conduct gap analysis, process re-engineering, and system impact analysis for claims workflows and automation.
Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards across claims processes.
Perform UAT planning, test case design, and execution support for new system features or process enhancements.
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
Provide business insights, reports, and dashboards to track claims performance, fraud detection, and loss ratios.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or IT.
10+ years of Business Analysis experience within the Insurance domain, specifically in non-life/general insurance claims.
Strong knowledge of claims lifecycle and insurance business processes (Motor, Property, Liability, Health, Travel, etc.).
Hands-on experience in requirement gathering, BRD/FSD documentation, user stories, use cases, and process mapping (BPMN, UML, or equivalent).
Familiarity with insurance claims systems (Guidewire ClaimCenter, Duck Creek Claims, Sapiens, etc.).
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in insurance (e.g., FCA, Solvency II, GDPR – as applicable).
