Powercard migration expert – Types of resources required (e.g. BA, developer, migration expert..)
- Powercard Data migration expert to help map Powercard tables with the target CMS.
- Specific knowledge, skills, or expertise needed (e.g. Payments background)
- Card Domain expertise ( Card network architecture and processing flows ; BIN management; merchant/cardholder onboarding; transaction life cycle; card life cycle; account management - credit revolving, Interest generation, fees)
- Payment schemes and standard (Knowledge of industry regulations and messaging standards (ISO 8583, ISO 20022, EMV, PCI-DSS – including the keys management[EMV/terminal]) across schemes like Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, UPI Fraud, Compliance & Risk – Understanding the dispute/chargeback requirements and processing. card risk parameters/terminal risk parameters
- At least 5 years working experience in similar post
- Role of the Card Data Migration expert within the CMS program is to ensure the functional success of the migration from the legacy system (PowerCARD) towards the new system; candidates should have a strong understanding of both functional and technical aspects
- Proven experience (3-5+ years) in a data migration role, specifically within the banking or payment card industry.
- Essential: Hands-on experience and in-depth technical knowledge of the Powercard system, strong understanding of card issuing, acquiring, and transaction processing lifecycles.
- Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), and ETL tools.
- Thorough knowledge of PCI DSS compliance and data security best practices for handling sensitive cardholder data.
