Job Description:
As an Azure Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing modern data architectures on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define data strategies, ensure scalability, and drive the adoption of cloud-based solutions. Fluency in Dutch is required to effectively communicate with local business teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement end to end Azure Data Architecture solutions.
Develop data lake, data warehouse, and lake house architectures on Azure.
Lead data migration projects from on premise to Azure Cloud.
Define data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
Optimize data storage, processing, and ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, and Power BI.
Guide development teams on best practices, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
Ensure adherence to GDPR and other regulatory requirements in data management.
Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and Analytics.
Strong expertise in Azure Data Services (ADF, Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).
Proficiency in data modeling, data lakes, and data warehouses.
Handson experience with ETL pipelines, Spark, and Python/SQL.
Strong knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
Experience in cloud migration and modernization strategies.
Ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken & written).
Preferred Skills:
Azure DP203 & DP900 Certifications.
Experience with Power BI, AI/ML, and DataOps on Azure.
Strong background in Big Data technologies (Kafka, Snowflake, Hadoop).
Agile/DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
