About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst with strong skills in PL/SQL, Unix, and Oracle to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work as an escalation point for our team, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to monitoring our production environment, preventing performance issues or application crashes, and an understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a level 2/3 support, acting as an escalation point for technical and product issues.
- Monitor the production environment proactively to prevent performance issues or application crashes.
- Resolve support issues utilizing your strong skills in PL/SQL, Unix, and Oracle.
- Handle ITIL Methodologies such as Change, Incident, Problem, and Service Management.
- Monitor nightly batch processes and ensure reports are generated and transferred to clients within defined SLAs.
- Analyze and document problems, recommend solutions, and initiate corrective action.
Contributing Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues, sharing skills and knowledge as required.
- Coordinate with Infrastructure teams during server patching and upgrades to ensure application stability.
- Handle UAT/PROD deployment and validation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong experience in PL/SQL, Unix, and Oracle.
- Experience with Business Objects is beneficial.
- Functional knowledge in Equity Derivatives, Trade Life Cycle, Futures, and Options.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
- ITIL Certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of SRE practices is an advantage.
