Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Android Automotive Test Architect to join our team in Munich. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android-based In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems and a deep understanding of embedded systems testing.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership for IVI system testing across Android Automotive platforms
Define test strategies, methodologies, and architectures for Android-based infotainment systems
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on test planning and execution
Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to IVI functionalities and interfaces
Required Skills & Experience:
In-depth knowledge of Linux & Android systems and IVI system architecture
Strong understanding of IVI features:
Power modes, Diagnostics, Media, Tuner, Phone, CarPlay (CP), Android Auto (AA), Bluetooth, Speech, Navigation, Vehicle Functions
Communication protocols: SOME/IP, Ethernet, CAN, LIN, HMI
Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Codebeamer, Confluence
Experience with SCM tools: GIT, Gerrit, Jenkins
Automation frameworks: Robot Framework, Cucumber
Strong scripting skills in Python, C++, and exposure to:
OpenCV (Image Processing)
Communication interfaces (ADB, Appium, CAPL)
Experience in estimating test effort and guiding team resource planning
