Job Title: Agile Lead (Continuous Improvement) – Digital Business Automation

Location: [Krakow / Poland] – 2 days weekly from office

Job Type: Contract

Your career opportunity

We’re looking for a driven and collaborative Agile Lead (Continuous Improvement) to join Digital Business Automation (DigiBA) within Client Technology. DigiBA enables reliable, secure, and scalable operations and automation across Client through three core product lines: Managed File Transfer (MFT), Service Orchestration & Automation Platform (SOAP) (primarily Control‑M), and Scheduling (IWS + Automation Point).

This role is to provide an Agile Lead capability to a new technology POD that is being created. This POD will be responsible for the delivery of open-source software solutions to meet agreed use cases. The role will be responsible for maintaining, refining, and prioritising a backlog of work that the engineers will deliver. We would also like this role to contribute towards our desire to Continuously Improve, by helping to evaluate processes and ways of working to ensure efficient delivery of expected outcomes.

What you’ll do

Core responsibilities

  • Enable effective delivery: Facilitate planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives so the team can deliver value in small, regular increments.
  • Coach agile ways of working: Help the team apply agile principles (flow, feedback, transparency) and choose the right practices (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid).
  • Remove impediments: Identify blockers (process, tooling, dependencies, unclear decisions) and drive them to resolution with the right stakeholders.
  • Improve team health and performance: Use metrics (cycle time, throughput, predictability, quality signals) to spot bottlenecks and support continuous improvement—without turning metrics into a stick.
  • Support product delivery: Partner with Product Owners/Managers to improve backlog quality, prioritisation, and clarity of outcomes.
  • Manage dependencies and alignment: Coordinate across teams, vendors, and functions (e.g., architecture, security, risk) to keep delivery flowing.
  • Promote good engineering practices: Encourage quality, automation, and “definition of done” discipline (testing, CI/CD, documentation).
  • Create a safe, inclusive environment: Build psychological safety so people raise risks early, challenge constructively, and learn fast.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving: Lead root-cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone) and ensure fixes address causes, not symptoms.
  • Improve processes end-to-end: Map current state, remove waste, simplify handoffs, and standardise where it helps, and ensure adherence to controls
  • Drive delivery of improvements: Turn ideas into implementable change: owners, milestones, dependencies, and governance.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and software delivery lifecycles.
  • Extensive experience of Jira and Confluence
  • Demonstrated experience applying process improvements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to balance Agile flexibility with process discipline and structure.
  • Experience with DevOps, Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe), or process automation is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery and process improvement roles, ideally within a technology or IT environment.

What success looks like

  • Agile teams deliver with higher efficiency, predictability, and engagement.
  • Measurable reductions in delivery cycle times, waste, and rework.
  • Improved process visibility and decision-making through data and metrics.
  • A culture of continuous improvement embedded across IT pods and teams.
